Crimes committed by asylum-seekers in Britain have become a major political issue in recent months. Meanwhile, two Afghan minors have been given lengthy sentences for raping a 15-year-old girl in Leamington Spa, England. The two accused, Jan Jahanzaib and Israr Niazal, both 17, arrived in Britain alone last year. In May he committed a rape in a park in Leamington Spa. According to the prosecution, the two boys assaulted the minor victim, who was quite drunk at the time, by separating her from her friends. The court also showed the video that the girl had recorded during the attack, in which she was heard crying and shouting – “Please help me… let me go… I want to go home.” The victim said in her statement, “The day I was raped, I was not the same as before. It was the first sexual experience of my life.”

A major political issue in Britain
The British government is already looking for ways to stop thousands of migrants coming across the Channel in small boats. Meanwhile, many cases of sexual crimes involving asylum-seekers have heated up the atmosphere. Last month, an Afghan national confessed to raping a 12-year-old girl. In September, an Ethiopian man was jailed for sexually assaulting a teenage girl and a woman. After these incidents, there were large-scale protests across the country, and violence broke out in many places. The Reform UK party is gaining ground in the polls due to growing anger over immigration.
The court disclosed the name in public interest
Although the accused were minors, Judge Silvia Di Bertodano said their names could be revealed in the public interest. Jahanzaib’s lawyer said that he arrived in Britain by small boat in January after four attempts to travel alone from Europe. After completing the sentence, he will be automatically deported from the country.
