Chandigarh, 8nd June: Sports have always been a major part of your day to day routine list. Such things were taught to students at the primary level but Bollywood and Pollywood, both have taken this initiative to inculcate sports and such sports oriented roles in their upcoming films.
Where in Bollywood, superstar Salman Khan in his upcoming film ‘Sultan’ is being featured as a Haryanvi wrestler, there on the other hand, in Pollywood actor Ranjha is to play the character of ‘Shera’ a Jatt kabbadi player in his debut Punjabi film ‘25 kille’. Forthcoming, more such films are expected from the industry which would be oriented towards sports or biographical films of various sports personalities.
On the same note, Ranjha added, “In the film industry, a phase is going on in which Bollywood and Pollywood are in their sports mode, they are featuring different sports and the famous sports personalities, touching their real life stories as well. Like Bollywood Khan Salman Khan is all set for his upcoming film ‘Sultan’ in which he will be seen playing a Haryanvi wrestler and on the other hand I, in my upcoming film ‘25 Kille’ will be playing the character of Shera, who is a kabbadi player.”
Punjabi film ‘25 Kille’ has been produced by Amanpreet Singh Sodhi, Vikram Singh and Shirin Morani Singh. The story has been written and directed by Simranjit Singh Hundal and music has been composed by Jaidev Kumar. The film will be releasing in the month of august.
Both these movies have portrayed sports like kabaddi and kushti which were much enjoyed and were a part of the village sports activities initially and these films would surely bring back the fever and craze of these sports altogether.
