The controversy over the song “315” by Punjabi singer R Net and singer Gurlez Akhtar has increased. Earlier a complaint was lodged with the police regarding this song and now both of them have been called to appear in the office of Jalandhar Police Commissioner on August 16 at 12 noon. The complaint regarding this was lodged by Arvind Singh, Deputy Convener of BJP Punjab Trade Cell, Jalandhar.
The complaint states that strict action should be taken against songs that promote violence, illegal weapons and crime. Also, songs like “315” violate the code of conduct of the Punjab government and can lead the youth in the wrong direction, creating an atmosphere of fear and violence in the society.
This song, which is about 3 minutes and 7 seconds long, shows Punjabi model Bhaana Sidhu acting with weapons. The lyrics of the song mention a 315 bore gun made in 1980. It has been viewed more than 3.9 million times on YouTube so far.
