The suspect identified as Dattatraya Ramdas Gade age 37 resident of Gunat village in Shirur has been arrested now by Pune Police. Pune Police arrestd him on Friday suspected of raping a women inside a state-run bus station at a bus depot from the state’s Shirur after a massive search operation which involves multiple police stations after nearly 72 hours of the crime.
The suspect identified as Dattatraya Ramdas Gade age 37 he had been o run since Tuesday when this incident took place in the Swargate depot one of the Pune busiest bus depot.

The suspect when he was arrested he was out on bail and was living with his family which include his wife, young son, brother and patrents in Gunat.
According to Police this incident happened arount 5:30 am Tuesday when the victim who had been waiting for bus to her hometown in Satara was approached by Gade. He allegedly lured the women to an empty air conditioned Shivshahi bus part of Maharashtra State Road Transport and he assaulted her there. The bus’s windows were sealed shut, preventing any immediate outside help.
Operation was handled by teams of Pune City and Pune Rural police and they covered area around Gunat Village searching nearby sugarcane fields and deploying drones and dog squad. Gode was eventually arrested in the early hours of Friday
