There is news of a soldier being martyred while on duty in the district. According to the information, the soldier was martyred due to an accidental firing on the Line of Control in the district. According to the information, an Indian Army soldier, Naik Amarjeet Singh, son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of village Janjanwala, Tehsil Narwana, District Jind, Haryana, was martyred on Monday due to an accidental firing in the Jalas area located on the India-Pakistan Line of Control in the district.
The body was brought by the police and army to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital in Poonch, where a post-mortem examination was conducted under the supervision of Medical Superintendent Dr. Mohammad Shafiq. Following legal proceedings, the body was handed over to the army, from where it will be sent home today for the last rites.
