IND vs NZ: Big blow to Team India, this veteran player is out before the ODI series against New Zealand.

The Indian cricket team has suffered a major setback just before the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Star batsman and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the series due to injury. According to a Cricbuzz report, Pant suffered the injury during afternoon practice at the BCA Stadium when a ball struck him directly in the face. This injury has forced him out of the team.

At present it has not been made clear how serious his injury is and how long it will take for him to recover.

Pant was seen in pain after being hit by the ball, doctors stopped him from playing.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, Rishabh Pant appeared to be in significant pain after being hit by the ball. He was immediately treated by Team India’s physios and doctors. After examination, the doctors determined that the injury was serious enough to rule him out of all three ODIs against New Zealand.

Although no official statement has been issued by the BCCI yet, it is expected that Pant could leave the Indian team camp as early as Tuesday morning.
It is also unclear how long it will take for him to return to the field.

Ishan Kishan may get a chance

KL Rahul is already in the ODI squad against New Zealand as the wicketkeeper. However, if the selectors replace Rishabh Pant with a new player, Ishan Kishan could get a chance. Ishan Kishan has performed exceptionally well recently, which has led to his return to the T20 team. His wicketkeeping and batting skills are both considered strong, making him a good replacement for Pant.
