High court has allowed hospital visits for Punjab farm leader Jagjit Dallewal. The family and some farmer leaders met him in the hospital today after the directions issued by the court.
Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday directed Punjab Government to make sure that there was no hindrance in the family, friends, relatives or “any other person” whished to meet Punjab farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal in hospital.
While issuing this order Justice Manisha Batra made it clear that whoever wants to meet must follow the hospital rules and protocol.
Justice Batra asserted the State had taken a candid stand that he was not in any kind of illegal confinement. Rather, he was admitted due to his health condition following a direction issued by the Supreme Court.
