Punjabi singer-star Diljit Dosanjh, who has made the whole world dance with his songs, rocked the Met Gala. Paying a clear tribute to the Maharaja of Patiala, he walked the red carpet of the Met Gala 2025 wearing a royal white outfit. His entire look is inspired by Maharaja Bhupendra Singh of Patiala. From the carrot necklace to the turban, Diljit has been successful in recreating this look.

The outfit was designed by American-Nepali designer Prabal Gurung, who had earlier dressed Bollywood star Alia Bhatt for the fashion charity event held annually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Representing his Sikh roots, Diljit wore an ivory and gold sherwani, along with a tehmat, a jeweled turban adorned with a white ‘kalgi’ and a lion’s head, making him look like a Maharaj.

The team of Sabpaan Diljit shared multiple videos of the Punjabi superstar’s presence at the gala on their official Instagram page. “History #diljitdosanjh #metgala #diljit,” read the caption of one of the videos, which showed the singer walking down the stairs while exiting the hotel for the Met Ball. A video of the “Amar Singh Chamkila” actor twirling his moustache was captioned, “He wore a legacy #diljit #metgala #diljitdosanjh.”
