A 78-year-old resident of Firozabad, who was suspected to be infected with Kovid-19, died during treatment at a medical college in Agra on Tuesday evening. Firozabad Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ram Badan Ram said that the elderly man was admitted to a private hospital in Agra on May 24 after suffering a fractured hip bone and head injury and the next day he developed breathing difficulties and was tested for Covid-19 at a private lab, which confirmed the infection.

according to the information received from the sources, the CMO said that after this he was transferred to the Covid isolation ward of SN Medical College in Agra late on Monday night where he died on Tuesday evening. According to Agra Medical College officials, the 78-year-old patient was suffering from several serious ailments.

The cause of death is not clear, Dr. Prashant Gupta, principal of the medical college at the start of the health check-up and sanitization campaign in Firozabad,
said that the suspected covid-infected patient has died. We cannot directly say that the death is due to Kovid-19. Meanwhile, a 7-member medical team in Firozabad examined the health of the family members of the deceased and sanitized the entire area. The CMO confirmed that there is currently no active case of Kovid-19 infection in Firozabad.
