Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale Support Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe (Video)

Punjab ,4 Feb 2014:The Punjabi movie “Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe”, released in cinemas worldwide during January 2015, is based on the life of the Late Bhagat Puran Singh Ji, who established the well-known Pingalwara for the sick, disabled and abandoned people in Amritsar. Born on 4 June 1904 in Punjab, Bhagat Puran Singh Ji was Hindu by birth with the name “Ramjidas”. Later in life, he chose to become a Sikh. He emerged as a great writer, as well as an environmentalist and a philanthropist. This one gem within Sikh history treaded a difficult and exhausting path, a journey that was made possible by the infinite faith in his mission, the moral values he received from his mother, and the courage, vision and determination he received from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. He ferried an invalid for many years on his shoulders and over a span of time the burden of every helpless human became a garland around his neck. In his arduous journey, Bhagat Puran Singh Ji was joined by millions of altruistic human beings who supported his noble cause without knowing the sheer magnitude of the herculean task of the man who undertook it. Bhagat Puran Singh Ji was honoured with India’s ‘Padma Shri Award’ in 1979, which he later returned after the Indian army’s attack on Sri Darbar Sahib in 1984.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale, in this clip, requests all Sikhs and non-Sikhs to watch this historical depiction and to support such efforts to encourage future productions based on Gurmat and Sikh history.
