On Saturday afternoon, a helicopter of AIIMS Rishikesh on its way to Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand suddenly got stuck in a technical problem. Just ten meters before the helipad, when the engine malfunctioned, the pilot made an alternative runway to the highway without delay. The helicopter was carrying five passengers including the pilot, all of whom are safe. The pilot did not lose patience as soon as he got the warning of the machine malfunction. While reducing the altitude, he saw the surrounding traffic and chose an empty part of the road for a safe landing. According to experts, if the pilot had delayed even a second, the helicopter could have hit the mountain or fallen on the road. During the emergency landing, the rear part of the helicopter collided with a car standing on the roadside. The occupants escaped with minor damage to the car. The tail-boom of the helicopter is broken which is being repaired by the technical team. This helicopter of Rishikesh AIIMS had left to bring a critical patient from Kedarnath. Before the flight the weather was favorable but in the last few minutes of the flight there was a technical problem. The hospital administration said that despite the new machinery, the pressure on the equipment increases in steep snow and high altitude areas.

Villagers say that the pilot stopped the blade as soon as it touched the road so that dust did not fly and accident did not happen. Villagers immediately rushed to help and took the passengers to a safe distance. As soon as the incident was reported, the disaster management team, police and health department team reached the spot. The passengers were medically examined and sent to a safe place.
