Chandigarh 5 Feb 2015 :Post Qissa’s successful global release across Germany, France and Netherlands and international acclaim garnered in various film festivals across the world, Qissa shall now be released by NFDC in select theatres across key cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai and Kolkata on Feb 20, the same day that it will be available for sale on DVD or on NFDC’s newly launched Video-on-Demand site www.cinemasofindia.com.
The film has won worldwide acclaim and awards at various international film festivals, including the Best Actor award for Irrfan Khan and two Best Actress awards for Tillotama Shome, the NETPAC Jury Award for the Best Asian Film at the Toronto International Film Festival 2013 and the Silver Gate Award in India Gold Competition at Mumbai International Film Festival, 2013.
