After reaching the hospital, the door of the ambulance was not opened, the patient died in agony

A serious case of poor government health services has come to light in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. A video of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel District Hospital is going viral on social media, in which a patient died due to the door of 108 ambulance not opening.

According to information, 67-year-old Ram Prasad, a resident of Ramnagar, suddenly fainted on Sunday morning while he was lighting a fire outside his house. The family immediately took him to the Ramnagar Community Health Center, where after first treatment, the doctors referred him to Satna District Hospital by 108 ambulance, seeing his serious condition.

The ambulance reached the district hospital with the patient, but there was a big accident as soon as it reached there. The back door of the ambulance was suddenly jammed and could not be opened. It can be clearly seen in the video that the ambulance technician and other people kept trying to open the door for a long time. People kept kicking and punching and tried to break the gate with tools. He was also seen trying to enter through the driver’s window.

During this time, the patient Ram Prasad was struggling with life and death inside the ambulance. After much struggle, when the door was opened and the patient was taken out, it was too late. The doctors declared Ram Prasad dead as soon as he was brought on the stretcher.

On the matter, the Satna Health Department says that the patient died on the way before reaching the hospital. At the same time, the family members of the deceased rejected this claim and said that if the condition of the ambulance was good and the door was opened on time, Ram Prasad’s life could have been saved.

It is worth noting that since the last few months in Satna district, there have been continuous questions about the poor condition of health services. Dilapidated ambulances, poor maintenance and negligence are now affecting the lives of common people. This incident shows once again that even a small carelessness of the system can prove fatal for a family.
