Russia has issued a stern warning to the US, saying the threat of new military strikes on Iran is “totally unacceptable”. Russia accused the US of dangerous and conspiratorial interference in Iran’s internal affairs. The Russian Foreign Ministry said in its official statement that the United States should understand that such actions can have disastrous consequences for the security of the Middle East and the entire world.

Russia specifically warned that if any country attacks Iran again in June 2025 under the pretext of protests provoked from outside, the consequences will be very serious. Russia clearly said that this could endanger not only the Middle East, but the entire world peace.
Trump’s open message to Iranians – “Help is on the way”
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump appealed to Iranian protesters to continue protesting and said that “help is on the way”.
Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social: “Patriots of Iran, keep protesting, occupy your institutions. Protect the names of murderers and tyrants. They will pay a heavy price. I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the killing of protesters stops. Help is on the way.”
The statement comes at a time when, according to reports, nearly 2,000 people have been killed so far in the crackdown on anti-government protests in Iran. Even before this, Trump has said that the US has “very strong military options” against Iran. Iran reacted strongly to this statement.
Trump’s 25% tariff bomb on Iran’s trading partners
Trump has taken another big step in increasing pressure on Iran. He has announced that any country that does business with Iran will be subject to a 25% tax (tariff) on its trade with America. Trump wrote: “Effective immediately, any country doing business with Iran will be subject to a 25% tax on all trade with the United States. This order is final and conclusive.”
So far, there has been no official response from Iran, but China has strongly opposed it. China is Iran’s largest trading partner. China bought 77% of Iran’s total oil exports in 2024.
Liu Pengyu, a spokesman for China’s embassy in the US, said: “There are no winners in tariff wars and trade wars. Pressure and threats do not solve problems. Protectionism harms the interests of all countries.”
The tension in the world increased
On the one hand, America is supporting the Iranian protesters and on the other hand, Russia is warning that if Iran is attacked, it will have dire global consequences. It is clear from this that the crisis of Iran is not only a problem inside the country, but it can shake the politics and security of the whole world.
