A painful and frightening incident has come to light from Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. Where the body of a 10-month-old girl was found in the field, which was attacked by a wolf and half eaten. The wolf picked up the baby girl while she was sleeping in the hut near her mother.
The girl who was sleeping near her mother, disappeared in the middle of the night,
according to the police officials, this incident is from Khiria Sharif village of Kotwali rural police station area. The child’s mother Rama Devi was sleeping with her daughter Sunita in a hut outside her house. On waking up at midnight on Friday, it was found that the girl was missing. The villagers searched for the girl and after a few hours her dismembered body was found in a field. The girl was missing one arm and one leg and had severe injuries on her face. Wolf claw marks were found near the body.
Action of Forest Department in search of wolves
Forest Range Officer Vinod Kumar Nayak said that 4 teams have been deployed in the counting fields to search for wolves in the area. Wolves will also be monitored with the help of drones on Sunday. Wolves can be caught by using cages on the advice of experts. This is the second incident of the baby wolf attack. Earlier, a 5-year-old child was injured in a wolf attack while playing in Mallahan Purwa village of Kaiserganj Tehsil. He died late at night while being taken to Lucknow for treatment. The Forest Department has confirmed the installation of 3 cages in the area and the activity of wolves is being monitored.
