Famous travel blogger Amrik Singh of Jalandhar, Punjab was detained and questioned by the police on the input of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) after his visit to Pakistan, although he was later released. Amrik, who went on religious tourism with his wife Manpreet Kaur in December 2024, had shot videos in Kartarpur Sahib, Nankana Sahib and Lahore, which were viewed by millions of people on YouTube.

Investigative agencies suspect that during this time he came in contact with people who may be associated with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. In Pakistan, he also made videos with Pakistani YouTuber and alleged ISI agent Nasir Dhillon.
According to sources, Amrik was called to the police station and later his digital devices were confiscated, which he used to make and edit videos. The police have not issued an official statement in this matter, but the agencies are keeping an eye on his online activities.
