A woman caretaker created a ruckus outside the house of a BJP leader and former MLA’s son in Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar area of Jalandhar last night. Priya Mitra, a resident of Kolkata who works here, alleged that the owner of the house looked at her “dirtyly” and assaulted her.
Priya says that she came to work in this house about a week ago through an agency. It is alleged that the employees who were already working in the house used to drink alcohol and misbehave at night, which he complained to the daughter-in-law of the former MLA. After this she wanted to quit her job, but she was refused when she asked for money for seven days of work and later the former MLA’s son assaulted her.
The girl immediately called the police control room and informed, after which the team of police station division number four reached the spot. At the same time, the owner of the house retaliated and accused the woman of stealing the gold bracelet. Police Station Division Number Four K.A.S.I. Manjeet Ram said that at present the official complaint of the case has not reached him. Action will be taken on complaints.
