An unfired missile was found in the store of Markfed’s Canary in Chuhadwali, a nearby village of Adampur, causing chaos and panic. According to the information received, one of the blasts that were heard in Adampur and surrounding areas in Markfed Cannery Chuhadwali on Friday and Saturday night, a missile fell in the generator room of Markfed Cannery. It was discovered that after Saturday and Sunday holiday in Markfed Cannery, when the cannery opened on Monday, the employees went to the generator room and found that a missile had fallen from the ceiling.
On this, the employees informed their superiors. After the higher officials saw the opportunity, it was reported to DSP. Sub-Division Adampur was given to Kulwant Singh, whereupon the senior police officers immediately reached the spot and informed the higher officials of Air Force and Army.
On receiving the information, Air Force and Army personnel reached the spot and deactivated the missile around 2 pm. Senior officials said that it was very fortunate that the missile did not explode, because if the missile had exploded, it could have caused a lot of damage.
