After becoming US President it was first meeting between US President Trump and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House. Meeting started with exchanging compliments on Friday but turned into a fiery arguyment with in minutes in the attendance of world media present in White House. After this argument Ukrainian delegation was asked to leave the White House withe the formal lunch with the President remaining untouched as per the reports.
Meeting was started with smiles and handshakes but soon blew up when US Vice President JD Vance mentioned the need for diplomacy to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war which was started in 2022 after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion. However, the discussions were cut short when Trump accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War III.”

You should be grateful. People are dying, you don’t have enough troops. You can’t tell us whether I want a ceasefire or not,” Trump said during the tense exchange. He added, “You have no right to dictate to us how to feel about the conflict, we are trying to resolve it.”
After the argument, Donald Trump posted on social media that Volodymyr Zelensky “can come back when he is ready for peace.”
Volodymyr Zelensky, however, refused to apologize for his row with Donald Trump.
“I’m not sure that we did something bad,” he told Fox News after the fiery clash with the US President and his deputy.
The 47-year-old, however, said he wished the exchange had not taken place in front of reporters.
He also said that his relations with the US can still be repaired.
US-Ukrainian ties are about “more than two presidents,” he said, adding that Ukraine badly needs Washington’s help in the fight against Russia.
