Friday(15/8/2014) on the occasion of Independence Day, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was giving speech to the crowd gathered. The crowd hurled a shoe towards the stage by Vikram Kumar Babbi of Dhanaula. The 25 years old youth is said to be a firm supporter of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and is close of Sangur MP Bhagwant Mann.
The shoe never reached Parkash Singh Badal but it showed the anger of the crowd over the situation in Punjab.It is being told that shoe thrown by an unemployed angry youth due to state government’s performance is quite resentful. Public unemployment, drug trade, security issues like the government is quite miffed. The unemployed youth was later detained by Police.Vikram told to Press that he has not thrown shoe on Parkash Singh Badal, but on the Punjab Chief Minister seat. He also told that he follows freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and he is against the system prevailing in Punjab.Vikram Kumar Babbi was taken into custody by Punjab Police.
Same like this last year, a Sikh youth named Gurinder Singh Guri from Ludhaina had taken over the stage World Kabaddi Cup at Ludhaina in the presence of Punjab CM and Deputy CM to protest against Punjab government’s policies.
