Protests continued on Saturday amid the ban on internet and telephone services in Iran and the country’s contact with the rest of the world is almost cut off. Due to the restrictions, it has become difficult to get accurate information about the demonstrations taking place there. But according to the US-based news agency ‘Human Rights Activists’, at least 65 people have died in these demonstrations and more than 2,300 people have been detained. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has indicated to continue strict action against the protesters despite the warnings of the US. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on ‘X’ on Saturday, “The US supports the brave people of Iran.”

At the same time, the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a separate warning and said, “Don’t play games with President Trump, when he says something, he goes through the motions.” In a video broadcast on Iran’s state TV, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ignored US President Donald Trump’s warning and said that America’s hands are stained with the blood of Iranians. The footage showed Khamenei’s supporters chanting “America is dead”. State media described the protesters as “terrorists”. In Iran, as in recent years, the suspicion of violent action against protesters has increased. Khamenei (86) told supporters at his compound in Tehran that protesters are wasting their lives to please the US president.
Trump has said that he will come forward to help the protesters. Instead, they should focus on the situation in their own country.” The head of Iran’s Judiciary, Ghulam Hossein Mohsini, said that the protesters will be punished decisively and without any leniency. Donald Trump has said that the US will attack Iran after the US action on Venezuela. Trump said on Friday that it would not mean that the enemy would be sent to the ground They will be hurt where it will have the most impact. Trump said, “Don’t start shooting at the leaders of Iran, because if you do it, we will do it against you.”
