Amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have spoken on the phone again. The Ukrainian president gave information about this conversation on social media himself and thanked Trump for the help of America. Zelensky said that new help is being received from America, which will strengthen the security of Ukraine. Trump has made it clear that he wants to end the war quickly. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin is not yet ready for a peace agreement.
Zelensky wrote, “I spoke to the American President Trump on the phone. This conversation was positive. Trump expressed support for continuing aid to Ukraine and stopping the killings. We also discussed the upcoming meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Our effort is to protect our people from Russian attacks and to strengthen Ukraine.
Trump said that there will be no other way except to end the war with Russia. The Trump administration has announced to give Patriot missile system to Ukraine. This will help Ukraine better deal with Russian airstrikes. Recently, 13 people were killed and dozens were injured in several cities in an airstrike in Russia. Zelensky and Trump have agreed to continue talks in the future and find a solution together. The two leaders are trying to reach a peace settlement as soon as possible and end the war.
