Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has confirmed that her marriage to musician Palash Muchhal has been called off, putting an end to rumors about her personal life. He asked fans and the media to respect the privacy of both families at this sensitive time.
For the past few weeks, various speculations were being made on social media about her marriage. Bringing clarity to this, Mandhana wrote on Instagram, ‘I want to clarify that the marriage has been cancelled. Please end this matter here and give us room to move on.’
The wedding scheduled for 23 November was postponed due to the sudden deterioration of her father Srinivas’s health and hospitalization due to a heart-related ailment. Now Mandhana said that considering the circumstances, a decision has been taken to cancel the marriage.
He said that he is a very private person, but due to ongoing discussions and unverified reports, he had to keep his word openly. Also, he reiterated that his full focus is now on playing cricket for India and preparing for the upcoming international season.
Singer Palak Muchhal spoke about this issue a few days ago and said that this is a very challenging time for both the families. Due to the increasing discussions on social media, Mandhana had to come forward to put an end to the speculations.
