Team India announced for England tour, Shubman captain, Pant vice-captain

The men’s selection committee announced the 18-member team for the upcoming 5-match Test series to be played in England. Shubman Gill has been declared India’s Test captain while Rishabh Pant has been made the vice-captain. Mohammed Shami will not go on the England tour due to being unfit. This could be a big setback for Team India. The BCCI has given preference to Arshdeep Singh in his place. Who has performed well in county cricket in England. Karun Nair has also been given a chance. Bumrah is fit and he will play in the Test series.

The Test series will begin in Leeds on June 20, followed by Birmingham for the second Test. Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the third Test starting July 10, 2025. Old Trafford and Kennington Oval will host the fourth and fifth Tests of the series respectively.
