The havoc of hunger and violence continues in the Gaza Strip. On Sunday, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a relief distribution center near Gaza City, killing four people as they went to collect food supplies. According to local reports, the death toll has exceeded 2,000, while more than 13,500 people have been injured in incidents of firing on civilians who went to collect food supplies in various parts of Gaza.

Eight more people have died in Gaza due to hunger. By adding these, the number of those who died of hunger has reached 289, including 115 children who died of starvation. The United Nations has declared Gaza City and its surrounding areas a famine-prone area. In an effort to alleviate the food crisis, on Sunday, with the help of the Israeli Air Force, planes from Jordan, UAE, Germany and Indonesia dropped food supplies in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, in many cities in Australia, people are holding rallies against the situation in Gaza. The protesters demanded the government to impose sanctions on Israel and appealed for immediate aid for the citizens of Gaza. Experts say that this deadly combination of hunger and violence is exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and the international community needs urgent help.
