Rain of disaster in Kathua! Many houses were hit by burst clouds, highway jams, debris

The series of natural disasters is not stopping in Jammu and Kashmir. After Kishtwar, the incident of cloud bursting on Sunday has also come to light in Kathua district. Due to this disaster, a heavy landslide has occurred in Jod area of Kathua, due to which many houses have come under the influence of debris.

National highway also affected

The debris caused by the cloudburst has also engulfed a part of the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway due to which one lane of the highway has been closed for now. So far, there are no reports of any casualties in this incident, but a full assessment of the damage is yet to be done. Relief and rescue teams have reached the spot and are monitoring the situation.

Kishtwar tragedy: Death toll rises to 65

Meanwhile, the death toll has increased to 65 in the recent cloudburst incident in Kishtwar. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the affected areas on Saturday and met the families of the victims. He said that more than 100 people were injured while 82 others were still missing.
