Delhi Government Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has said that the raid on Punjab Kesari Group is not an act, but an attempt to suppress the voices of truth.
He said that when governments start fearing the truth, the first thing they target is the independent media. Something similar has been done in Punjab. He termed the raid by Aam Aadmi Party on Punjab Kesari/Hind Samachar Group as not an action, but a conspiracy to silence the voices that speak the truth.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party government are repeating the emergency thinking of the Gandhi family, but it should be remembered that the media did not bend then and will not bend today. He clearly stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands firmly with independent journalism. He also said that an attack on the freedom of the media is an attack on democracy.
