Rahul Gandhi on Punjab tour, left for Ajnala directly from the airport

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Punjab today. As soon as he landed at Amritsar airport, he left for Ajnala. During this, he will meet the flood-affected people, after which he will reach Pathankot and Gurdaspur flood-affected areas. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa reached Amritsar airport to welcome Rahul Gandhi.

Let us tell you that earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Punjab on 9 September. He had announced Rs 1600 crore for Punjab. At the same time, let us tell you that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has recently expressed concern on social media over the serious situation of floods in many parts. He wrote in his post that many states including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are affected by heavy rains and floods. Rahul Gandhi described the loss of life due to the floods as extremely sad and expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased. He also appealed to the central and state governments to issue high alert in the affected areas and speed up relief and rescue operations, so that further loss of life and property can be prevented.
