Sensation has spread all around after an unidentified body was found buried in the mud near a petrol pump near Mundi Mor on Sultanpur Lodhi-Kapurthala road. A burnt body was found near a petrol pump near Mundi Mor on the Kapurthala to Sultanpur Lodhi main road under Fattudhinga police station of sub-division Sultanpur Lodhi. In this regard, DSP Sultanpur Lodhi Gurmeet Singh Sidhu said that the SHO of Fattudhinga police station has recovered the unidentified body. On receiving the information, Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur reached the spot and took the body in her custody and kept it in the mortuary of Kapurthala Civil Hospital for identification. He said that the deceased has been identified as Sondh Singh son of Gurnam Singh resident of Sarahali Kalan district Tarn Taran.
DSP Gurmeet Singh Sidhu said that in the initial investigation, this case seems to be a murder. In this regard, the police have registered a case of murder in Fattudhinga police station on the statement of the deceased’s family and started further investigation. He said that the deceased youth Sondh Singh was married a year ago and he was serving as a Gatka teacher in Akal Academy Dhaliwal Bet and Akal Academy Raipur Pirbakhsh Wala.
It has also been learned from the family members of the deceased that Sondh Singh’s brother Jugraj Singh had lodged a missing report of his brother in Bhulath police station a few days ago, but the police did not investigate nor did they help him. They kept searching for their brother on their own level. The family members of the deceased have raised questions on the functioning of the police administration in the case. The body of the missing youth was found lying in the mud near the petrol pump on the sixth day, which revealed that he was murdered. At present, the police have started searching for the culprits in the murder case.
In this regard, residents of Amritpur village told that on May 9 at 1 pm, some people in two vehicles surrounded a motorcyclist on Mundi Mor and Shri Goindwal Sahib Road and beat him badly and later took him away in the vehicle. In the evening, the villagers handed over the motorcycle to the police at Hi-Tech Naka Shri Goindwal Sahib Bridge. Talwandi Chaudhariyan police station has also been informed in this regard. But why the police did not take any action. This is also a matter of investigation.
According to other information, Gatka teacher Sondh Singh has also worked in the religious Punjabi film Guru Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai and apart from this he also used to teach Gatka to children. DSP Gurmeet Singh Sidhu and Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur have claimed that the police will soon solve the murder mystery and arrest all the accused.
