The Punjab Government has taken a hard stand against the protesting tehsildars who have gone on mass leave, warning them to resume their work duty by 5 PM today or face suspension.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made it clear that government will not tolerate these kind of disruptions in public service due to strike. He said if the officers fail to return to work with in given time strict action will be taken including mass suspension.
The government’s decisive move comes as a response to the ongoing protest by tehsildars and naib tehsildars, which has affected revenue-related services across Punjab.
