Punjab Employees Strike: DCS office employees stopped work after Punjab government’s action

After yesterday the Punjab government directed the suspension of the tehsidar’s and Naib Tehsildar who are on strike, the employees of the DC office in Moga and Jalandhar have gone on mass leave in protest. District DC Office Employees Union District President Dalbir Singh, went on a one-day leave said that the next decision will be taken after meeting of the revenue officers to be held in Moga today.

In Moga the DC office employees have vacated their seats in protest. The next sharp action can be announced in this meeting. Secondly, in Jalandhar, the clerical staff has gone on a collective leave for the third day during the strike of Tehsildars. The clerical staff has expressed displeasure over the suspension of Tehsildars, but the Tehsildar reached Jalandhar Tehsil in the morning and made himself present. He said that if the clerk staff is on strike, what will they do sitting in their seats? The work of people’s registries will be affected on the third day as well.
