That time of 1984 and after 1984 effected number of families in Punjab. Innocent people were killed without any reason by the police but there was and there is no justice for such families in India. ‘Punjab 1984’ is a story of such a family.
A mother whose only son was arrested by police without any reason, spends her whole day sitting outside the police station to see her son but nobody listens to her. This lady is Satwant Kaur whose son went out to work in the fields one day and never returned. This saga of a mother’s pain and a son’s fight is being brought to the screen by White Hill Productions and Basic Brothers Productions.
Veteran actress Kirron Kher is playing the mother’s role and Diljit Dosanjh is playing the son’s role. Director of superhit movies like ‘Jatt and Juliet’, ‘Jatt and Juliet-2’, Anurag Singh is the director of this movie and also written the story and the screenplay. The film has been produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu. Pawan Malhotra, Sonam Bajwa, Arun Bali, Rana Ranbir, Manav Vij and Vishwas Kini will also be seen in the film. The promotional tour of the film took off from Chandigarh on Saturday where Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Pawan Malhotra, Gunbir Sidhu and Anurag Singh were present. Music of the had already been launched. Film will be releasing this Friday on 27th of June. There are lot of expectations from this movie by the fans as well as the film team. Time will tell how it will go.
