Music of Punjabi movie ‘Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe’ released in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, January 22, 2015: The most awaited movie ‘Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe’s music has been launched on January 20, 2015  at Park Plaza. It was a star studded show.

The movie’s lead actor Pawan Raj Malhotra, Singer Sukhwinder Singh, Actor & Singer Diljit Singh Dosanjh, famous Pollywood director Anurag Singh, singer and actor Garry Sandhu, Ranjit Bawa and Ammy Virk, music directors Gurmoh  & Vicky Bhoi unveiled the music album of the much-awaited film that is all set to hit the theatres on January 30.

The unveiling was even more special as it also marked the launch of White Hill Music, the music label of renowned Punjabi production house White Hill Productions spearheaded by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu.

“We are really excited to launch our music label as we felt the need to foray into this sphere as well and are sure that music lovers will get a soulful treat with this album which has 9 tracks that are sure to become a rage,” informed Sidhu, who is also the distributor of this film.

It was informed that songs ‘Baata’ by Vicky Bhoi and ‘Kanna Mana Kurr’ by Zorawar Singh and Gurmoh have great lyrics. Title track of the move ‘Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe’ by Javed Ali is a religious song that connects one to the almighty. Palak Muchhal has sung ‘Saada Rabb’ and ‘Sun Ve Poorna’ by Diljit Dosanjh are also a good listen. The rich music score soaked in traditional punjabi sounds, Shabads, songs and the culturally rich rhythms emanate fresh waves of sound that the listeners will savour with delight.

Director Harjit Singh while telling about the movie said, “Based on the life of ‘Bhagat Puran Singh’ who committed his life to serving humanity and preserving the environment, ‘Eh Janam Tukhare Lekhe’ is an important chapter in the history of post – partition Punjab. A varied approach to meaningful events would carry great appeal and emotionally connect with the audience. The tireless research makes it a very authentic and genuine attempt.”

Played a role from 25 years to 80 years
On his role, Pavan Raj Malhotra says he has played this character that ages from 25 years to about 80 years till the end of the film. He also mentions that he did no preparation for this character as he believes an actor should be well prepared to act anytime.

Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe is produced by All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, but presented and distributed by White Hill Production, who have in the past made successful films such as 1984 Punjab 1984, Jatt and Juliet series, Romeo Ranjha, Best of Luck, etc.
