JD Vance defended Trump’s action: Said-The action on Venezuela is not illegal, Maduro had to take our warning lightly. Vance made it clear that Maduro is not a legitimate head of state in any way, but a “narco-terrorist” accused in several cases in the United States, against whom arrest warrants are issued in American courts.

According to Vice President Vance, President Donald Trump warned Maduro several times and gave him the chance to “off-ramp” to reform. These warnings included demands to stop drug trafficking and the return of oil allegedly stolen from the US. But Maduro ignored all these warnings. Vance put it bluntly, “You can’t escape the crimes of drug trafficking in America by living in a castle in Caracas.” He insisted that the Trump administration had been clear all along that if the illegal activities were not stopped, there would be serious consequences.
The US Vice President also openly appreciated the special operations forces that carried out this operation. According to him, Maduro has now understood that President Trump does what he says. It is clear from this statement that the US is presenting its action as a criminal arrest rather than a violation of international law, while the global debate is still ongoing.
