America said we will respond strongly
America’s Acting Ambassador to the United Nations, Dorothy Shea, reiterated President Donald Trump’s warning at the meeting, saying that “any direct or indirect attack by Iran against Americans or American military bases will be met with a strong response.” He said in a meeting called by Iran on Sunday that the United States has taken this step to protect Israel and American citizens in order to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons because Iran is concerned about its nuclear weapons program. “Misleading” statements were spread and “good faith efforts in recent negotiations have not been successful”. Xi urged the Security Council to call on Iran to end its 47-year-old efforts to eliminate Israel, end its nuclear program, stop targeting Americans and American interests and engage in “peace talks in good faith.”
