International Boxing Championships: Boxer Sweety Boora wins Gold Medal, defeats Alfia Pathan 5-0

International boxer Sweety Boora from Hisar, Haryana won the gold medal in the international boxing championship held in Hyderabad. The championship was held in Hyderabad from 27th June to 1st July. In the elite women’s national boxing championship, Sweety Boora defeated Railway’s Alfia Pathan 5-0 in the final to capture the gold medal.

At the same time, in the semi-final, Sweety also defeated Babita of the All India Police Team by 5-0. In this championship, Sweety won the gold medal by participating in the 75 to 80 kg weight category. 

Now Sweety will start preparing for trials for World, Asian, Commonwealth. At present, Sweety Boora is practicing under Coach Shilwa and Dalbir at the National Boxing Academy in Rohtak. Sweety Boora has attributed her achievement to the entire boxing family, boxing federation, Rohtak Sai’s entire staff and boxing coaches.

Sweety has been at loggerheads with her husband and former Indian Kabaddi team captain Deepak Hooda. After this long-running controversy, Sweety entered the ring for the first time. After winning the medal in the championship, Sweety shared an emotional post on her Instagram handle.
