Thomas Gabriel Perera, a resident of Kerala, tried to enter Israel after arriving in Jordan on a visitor visa. An Indian man has been shot dead by Jordanian soldiers when he was trying to cross into Israel illegally. Man has bee identified as Thomas Gabriel Perera, resident of Kerala’s Thumba. This incident happend on February 10.
Indian Embassy in Jordan on Sunday said “Sad demise of an Indian National in unfortunate circumstances”
Indian Embassy is in touch with the family of Thomas and Embassy is working closely with JOrdanian authorities for transportation of mortal remains back to India. Thomas was 47 years old.
His relative resident of Menamkulam also tried to cross in to Israel was shot but survived. He was sent back to India after receiving treatment.
