The doors of Hemkunt Sahib, the holiest shrine of Sikhs located at an altitude of 15,000 feet above sea level, will be closed for winter on Friday. Due to the heavy snowfall on the occasion of Kapat Bandhi, the entire area is covered with a white sheet of snow. This year, the number of pilgrims visiting Hemkunt Sahib has broken all previous records.

Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra, Chairman of Hemkunt Sahib Trust, has expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. Despite the challenges, more than 2 lakh 70 thousand devotees have completed this difficult journey this year.
