Started on Jamuary 13 the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela is ending today with final Amrit Snan in Praygraj. Today 26th February on acupious day of Maha Shivratri the final bathing day of Maha Kumbh Mela has started already. The Maha Kumbh Mela is a Hindu festival that is considered the world’s largest public gathering. It is a religious pilgrimage that takes place at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. The festival is celebrated when the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are in specific astrological positions.

The Kumbh Mela is celebrated every four years, while the Maha Kumbh Mela is celebrated every 144 years. There is also an annual Magh Mela, or “chota kumbh”, that takes place in Prayagraj during the month of Magh.
Maha Kumbh mela started with Naga Sadhus and Three Amrit Snan on 13 January. Till now this Maha Kumbh Mela has drwan a record over 64 crore piligrims.
The movement of all types of vehicles, except administrative and medical vehicles, have been banned in the Mahakumbh Mela area till 8 am on February 27 or until the crowd ends.
