Dharmendra has joined the cast of Govinda’s daughter, Narmada Ahuja’s debut film, ‘Second Hand Husband’. Mirror has learnt that the veteran star will essay the title role in the film which will be shot extensively in Chandigarh.
If we recall this will be Narmada Ahuja’s debut film. She is surely elated at the news of Dharmendra joining the cast of the film. While Dharmendra remained unavailable to comment.she confirms the news saying, “Yes, Dharmendra sir is doing the film. I cannot believe that I’ll be sharing screen space with him. Both my dad and I are huge fans of his. Even he (Govinda) is thrilled about him (Dharmendra) joining the cast of my film.’
Sources claim that the duo will not be paired as father daughter. On the contrary Dharmendra will be essaying the title role in the film, which will be shot extensively in Chandigarh. Talking to a leading daily a source revealed, “It is a pivotal role with fun elements. Dharmendra was given the narration by director Smeep Kang and he immediately decided to come on board. The actor has recently done a Punjabi film, Double Di Trouble, with Kang, which was produced by Subhash Ghai. It was both Dharamendra’s and Ghai’s first Punjabi film.”
Second Hand Husband is all set to go on floors this August. Narmada will be paired opposite Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal, who also is doing his B-Town debut with this film. Keep reading this space for more information about the film.
