Corona enters Punjab too, panic in health department, alert issued

A 51-year-old woman undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city has been tested positive for corona. The woman is originally from Yamuna Nagar and was brought from Amritsar on May 17 and admitted to a private hospital in Mohali. The woman’s corona report was found positive on May 22.

On the other hand, according to the report of the Health Department, cases of new variants of Corona are being found in many states of the country. The risk of JN1 variant is higher for children because when Covid 19 came, the children were small and many had not even been vaccinated. Now the state governments are announcing Covid protocol regarding Covid, under which the following precautions are being asked to be taken:-

Children and the elderly should wear masks in crowded places.
People should make it a habit to wash their hands after going to the market or public places or they should have a sanitizer with them.
To prevent the spread of Covid, the elderly and children should avoid going to markets and other gatherings.
Children’s classes can be held through video conferencing.
If someone has cough, cold or fever, then a doctor should immediately go for a checkup.
