A police constable was allegedly caught injecting a drug in his body in a bathroom of a Kotkapura gurdwara on Thursday. Accused Police man has been identified as Ranjeet Singh a resident of Sarawan Village near Kotakpura. He is currently posted as a constable with the Moga Police.
Ranjit Singh was caught red handed by empployees of Gurudwara. The shrine employees recovered the drug and a syringe from the Moga police constable.
The police took the constable into custody and initiated a medical examination to confirm drug use.
“We have informed the Moga police about the incident and a departmental inquiry will follow,” said Manvinder Singh, SP (Headquarters).
