A video of Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring going viral on social media has sparked outrage among Sikh organizations. In the video, Warring is seen touching the hair buns (juda) of two minor Sikh children and joking about it. In Sikhism, the juda (juda) and dastar (turban) are considered symbols of respect and faith.

After the video surfaced, members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) filed a police complaint with the Tarn Taran SSP, calling it an insult to Sikh dignity. The complaint stated that Warring’s behavior hurt religious sentiments. Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal also accused Warring, saying the Congress leader doesn’t understand the importance of Sikh traditions. Badal said that for Sikhs, the Kesh and Turban are gifts from the Guru, and their disrespect cannot be tolerated at any cost.
Meanwhile, Punjab Congress spokesperson Jaskaran Singh Kahlon dismissed the allegations as politically motivated. Kahlon said Warring had no intention of hurting anyone’s religious sentiments. He said the Akali Dal was blowing the issue out of proportion to gain political advantage.
