Cancer Vaccine: Good news for cancer patients! The disease that has claimed millions of lives will now be eradicated, with a price of just this much.

Bladder cancer has become a serious disease in India. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 22,548 cases of bladder cancer were reported in India in 2020, of which 12,353 people died. Meanwhile, a vaccine for it has been long awaited, and now a Russian company has developed this vaccine, bringing relief.

Russia’s ‘ImuronVac’ vaccine

Russia has developed a bladder cancer vaccine called Imuron Vac. It was developed by the Gamaleya Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology and registered in June. The vaccine is already being used in post-operative therapy for cancer patients. It is in high demand in CIS countries, such as Armenia. According to the State Register of Drugs, a two-dose pack of Imuron Vac will cost slightly less than 2,200 rubles (approximately ₹2,570-₹2,580).

Bladder cancer is cancer that occurs in the urinary bladder. The bladder is the sac where urine is stored. When cells in the inner lining of the bladder grow abnormally and form lumps, it’s called bladder cancer.
