Punjab’s most expensive Ladowal toll plaza has been cleared. According to reports, farmers made the toll free around 1:30 pm today, allowing vehicles to pass through without paying any toll. The road from village Mangli to Ladowal toll is in very poor condition. This is leading to protests by the Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union, and farmer leaders have staged a sit-in at the toll plaza. Police personnel have arrived at the site due to the protest.
Farmers have raised several important issues, which is why they are protesting. Dilbag Singh, president of the Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union, stated that the roads from village Mangli to Ladowal toll are in very poor condition, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. Furthermore, the condition of Rahon Road is also very poor. He said that people are being charged toll but are not being provided with amenities, forcing them to protest today.
