Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal to take out ‘Nasha Mukti Yatra’ from Nawanshahr today

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Punjab Government on Friday will launch its public awareness campaign against drugs to give wings to its “War on Drugs” campaign. Arvind Kejriwal will also participate in this campaign.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal will launch the people’s initiative by taking out a ‘Nasha Mukti Yatra’ from Nawanshahr.

This is part of the ruling party’s Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan to end the scourge of drugs in the state.

In this campgain gram sabhas will be held in 351 villages everyday, where government will motivate people to leave drugs and to help Punjab police to get those people’s who are involved in this illegal drug business.

As part of the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign, the government has not just been initiating criminal action against smugglers but also demolishing their properties. Around 75 drug smugglers have been injured in encounters with police.
