A major road accident took place last Saturday in Telibagh market of PGI police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Where a speeding Scorpio car with a BJP flag went out of control and entered the crowd and crushed 10 people. The car hit the people sitting on the roadside and walking, causing chaos on the spot.
Local people showed bravery
Immediately after the accident, local people showed courage and chased and caught the driver and handed him over to the police. All the injured have been admitted to Apex Trauma Center-2 of PGI for treatment.
Information revealed in police investigation
Initial police investigation has revealed that this Scorpio is registered in the name of Hussainganj resident Akshay Singh. There are already 3 challans pending on this vehicle. The injured who have been identified so far include Anand Prakash, Rajesh, and 9-year-old child Aarush Verma. Work is on to identify the rest of the injured.
Police took the accused
into custody and the car driver is being questioned. Police is also investigating whether the driver was drunk at the time of the incident and why there was a BJP flag on the car.
