One of the world’s most famous billionaires and CEO of Tesla, Alan Musk, has resigned from his role in the administration of US President Donald Trump. Musk was working as the head of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) in Trump’s government and he announced through a post on social media that his tenure as a Special Government Employee (Special Government Employee) has ended.
Musk wrote in his tweet, “My term as a special government
employee has ended. I am grateful to President Trump for the opportunity to work for the reduction of government expenses during this time. The DOGE mission will become stronger with time, because it is taking the form of a lifestyle in the government.”
Struggle of business vs bureaucracy?
In recent months, talk has intensified that Musk is not able to fully focus on his businesses, especially Tesla, due to his government duties. Along with this, his displeasure with the Trump administration’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ also came to the fore. Musk made a sharp comment about this bill and said, “A bill can be either big or great, but not both together.”
130-day role, but under heavy pressure
A White House official confirmed that Musk is no longer with the government. He worked for the government as a special employee for about 130 days. But during this time many difficulties were faced with Tesla. Due to the decline in the company’s sales, the sharp decline in the shares and the boycott in America, Musk had to face sharp opposition from his investors.
Tesla’s pressure from investors is also the reason?
Tesla’s investors even demanded that Musk should focus entirely on the company and be freed from government responsibilities. A few days ago, amid falling shares of Tesla, Musk said in a statement, “I’m barely able to handle everything.”
Will Musk distance himself from politics?
After this development, it is also discussed that Alan Musk may distance himself from politics. Some reports claim that he has made up his mind to cut political funding as well.
