Current officiating Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj has welcomed the decision of ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
He said from the very beginning of this war he had held his belief that war should not break out between India and Pakistanand he had even offered ardas before Guru Sahib at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib at Ananadpur Sahib yesterday.
He added that all national and international leaders, who played a vital role in achieving this ceasefire, deserved applause.
He stressed that the Sikh community had always stood firm against oppression and tyranny and had played a leading role in defending the nation. War, he said, was destructive to humanity and claimed innocent lives, so both sides should resolve their issues through dialogue.
