Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal would jointly celebrate the party’s electoral success at Mohali on Thursday afternoon.
According to results available till 8.30 am on Thursday, AAP has taken a commanding lead in both Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections. Final results are expected to be declared by noon.
Elections were held in 346 Zila Parishad zones, though one zone in Khadoor Sahib had no valid nominations. Results for 211 zones have been officially declared so far, including unopposed seats.
